Risk Disclosure
Last updated 2026-09-15.
This page states, plainly, what you are actually risking by paying for a Your Call Markets evaluation. Read it — and the full rulebook — before you pay. Nothing here is financial, investment, or legal advice; see our Terms of Service for the full terms governing the Service.
What is, and is not, at risk
Evaluation accounts are simulated. No real capital of yours is placed into the markets during an evaluation, and a losing position in a simulated account does not itself cost you money beyond the fee you already paid. What is genuinely at risk is the evaluation fee itself. That fee is real money, it is paid before you know whether you will pass, and if you do not pass, it is not returned to you unless a specific refund term was stated to you at the time of purchase. Treat the fee as money you are choosing to spend on an attempt, not money that returns to you by default.
If you pass an evaluation and are offered a funded account, trading on that account carries its own separate terms from our platform provider, including how gains and losses on that account are handled. Read those terms in full before accepting a funded account.
The evaluation is structurally difficult
The Equity Growth Target is 10% of account size, and the maximum profit realizable from any single event is capped at 0.5% of account size. Those two numbers together mean a minimum of twenty separate events, every one of them won at the full cap, inside the evaluation window — and that is the theoretical best case, assuming no losses at all. At realistic hit rates the number of events required is substantially higher, and at a fifty percent hit rate the math does not work at all: gains and losses cancel and commission makes the expected outcome negative. The full arithmetic, including a table by hit rate, is on the rulebook page. We publish it because a fee-funded program has an obvious incentive not to, and because an accurate expectation before you pay is worth more to you than an optimistic one.
We do not claim any particular pass rate for the evaluation, and no statement anywhere from us should be read as an estimate of your personal likelihood of passing. Past results of other traders, where we publish them, are historical and do not predict your outcome.
No outcome is promised
Nothing about the Service promises that you will pass an evaluation, that a funded account will be profitable, or that any specific amount of money can be earned through the program. Trading event contracts, like any speculative activity, can result in the loss of the money placed at risk in that activity, and skill, preparation, and discipline reduce but do not eliminate that possibility.
Market risk
Event contracts settle based on the outcome of real-world events — elections, economic data, and similar — which are inherently uncertain. A contract you hold can settle at zero. Prices can move quickly around a scheduled data release or news event, and liquidity in a given market can be thin, which affects the price you receive when you open or close a position. None of this is unique to Your Call Markets; it is the nature of the underlying markets our platform provider sources pricing from.
Platform and technology risk
The simulated trading environment, order execution, and market data are operated by a third-party platform provider, not by Your Call Markets directly. Outages, data delays, or errors on that provider's systems are outside our control, even though they can affect your evaluation. We report and push to resolve provider-side defects we find, but we cannot guarantee provider uptime or data accuracy.
Regulatory landscape
The regulatory treatment of event-contract and prediction-market trading in the United States is still developing, and rules that apply to this activity today may change. We monitor this and will update our published rules and this disclosure if it affects the Service. This is not a statement that the Service is, or is not, subject to any particular regulatory regime, and you should not rely on it as such.
Not an investment, deposit, or security
An evaluation fee is not a deposit, is not held on your behalf as an investment, and does not accrue interest. The Service is not a bank account, brokerage account, or security, and is not insured by the FDIC, SIPC, or any similar scheme.
Eligibility
You must be 18 or older to use the Service. Your Call Markets does not offer the Service to residents of OFAC-sanctioned countries or any jurisdiction where doing so would be unlawful.
Before you pay
Read the complete rulebook, understand what passing actually requires, and only spend what you can afford to lose entirely on the attempt. If anything on this page or the rulebook is unclear, ask us at support@yourcallmarkets.com before you pay, not after.
